The bankruptcy court has asked the only potential suitor for Jet Airways, Synergy Group, to appear before the bench to show its seriousness and bonafides to revive the grounded carrier. On Monday, the Mumbai bench of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) directed the resolution professional (RP) to communicate with the South American firm Synergy Group to appear before the bench. The tribunal has also made ministry of civil aviation and Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) party to the case and sought their response regarding the availability of the slots to fly between destinations.RP may persuade the bidder to appear for the next hearing or any date earliest possible. The RP had also informed the tribunal that the 180 days of admission for the insolvency resolution is getting over on December 15 and hence the lenders may seek more time for the revival of the company.
